Multimedia Storytelling: Japan

I created an interactive website documenting a trip I took to Japan. The website outlines notable events and memories from the trip through different multimedia elements including writing, video, photos, audio, quizzes and slideshows.

Video Documentary: Bits and Pieces

After conducting several interviews with stand-up comedians, it became apparent that comedy is most powerful when it's personal. This is revealed as the comedians speak on their favorite bits that they have written. I produced and edited the video as a way to further explore the thriving Chicago comedy scene.

Multimedia Reporting: City Roots

This multimedia piece shows how people in Chicago are using urban agriculture and growing their own produce. The audio and written piece outline different sustainable initiatives for growing vegetables, fruits and herbs in the city.

Photo Documentary: 

Interpretive Interpretation

Dancer Anna Rodimtseva finds solace through interpretive dance. Her intimate room gives a space for her to explore and express herself through the movement of her body. 

Video Editing: 

White Washing in Hollywood

Through compelling videos, credible quotes, and deliberate editing, this video shows how Hollywood tends to cater to a predominantly white demographic. 

Film Analysis:

Tig

This essay analyzes the documentaryTig and how the film emphasizes the maternal qualities of the main subject, comedian Tig Notaro. 

Short Film Screenplay:

The Chase

Two young women living in Chicago try to track down their favorite musician using his social media as clues to his location.

Performance: Muse

An artist holds a misleading audition for her next artistic "muse." Film written and edited by Amber Dever; Ms. Weston played by yours truly, Rachel Fernandez.
